The Miami Dolphins have set their final roster in stone. They have made the final cuts of the day a little earlier in the night, and the final 53 has been named.
The final players to be cut from the team were, Rolly Lumbala, Ray Feinga, Ross Weaver, Nate Ness, Jonathan Amaya, Julius Pruitt, and Chris McCoy.
Look for Ness, Amaya, Pruitt, and Feinga to make the practice squad if they clear waivers in the next 48 hours.
The Dolphins have a big day ahead of them, as they will be looking at the waiver wire very carefully to see if they should put in any claims on players they feel can contribute to the team. Should be another exciting day.

During the past hour the Miami Dolphins have released a flurry of players, some hoping to get back with the team via their practice squad, and some with no chance at all.
The Fins have released veteran cornerback Kevin Hobbs, who is not needed any longer due to the acquisition of fellow veteran nickelback Benny Sapp.
The Fish have also reportedly let go of defensive tackle Ryan Baker and wide receiver Julius Pruitt. The team is hoping that these two clear waivers, so they are then eligible to make the practice squad.
One of the others that was cut recently is linebacker J.D. Folsum. Folsum was rumored to be wanted on the practice squad, but that was false. He never quite fit into the Dolphins 3-4 system, and now that Mike Nolan has come in, Folsum is not a good fit for the hybrid scheme at all.
More news to come as the Dolphins only have 7 more players to go until the final roster is set in stone!

The Miami Dolphins have announced many cuts today, but none have been bigger than the dismissal of former 2nd round pick Pat White.
White was expected to be cut by the team, but because he was cut so early in the day, it seems that the team was unable to trade White.
White could still be back on the Fins by the end of the weekend. Because of the guaranteed money on his contract, if no team wants to pay that guaranteed money, then he could wind up on the Dolphins practice squad after all is said and done.
The team has also announced that offensive lineman Andrew Gardner, who had a terrible pre-season, was waived as well.

The Miami Dolphins are continuing to part ways with their players, and have now parted ways with their 7th round pick, inside linebacker Austin Spitler.
Spitler was beaten out by J.D. Folsum and Micah Johnson it appears. Spitler should clear waivers and maybe could be placed on the teams practice squad.

The Miami Dolphins have been making their cuts now for the past couple hours, and it appears no breaks are within sight for them.
It has been reported by Aaron Wilson of the National Football Post that defensive lineman Lionel Dotson has been cut.
This could have been foreseen, and Dotson will try and make the practice squad with the Fins, if he is not picked up by another team first.
Andrew Hartline, a backup tackle for the Fins has announced via his Facebook that he has been cut as well. He has not contributed much to the team during the last two years.
